IOP Connector Run

Cole Chiropractic Clinic is proud to be a part of the 2010 IOP Connector Run.  After the race we will be performing assisted stretches to help participants with the aches and pains associated with running.  Assisted stretches can help with common running complaints like ITB syndrome, runners knee, and shin splints.  It can also help with aches and pains that may not show up until hours or days after the race.

About the Race:

Runners and walkers of all experience levels are invited to enjoy one of the most scenic road races in the Southeast! With net proceeds from the event going to support the local prevention of child abuse and other child-related programs, the Isle of Palms Connector Run and Walk for the Child is a beautiful race that helps supports a very important cause.

Now in it's 18th year, the race began with the official opening of the Isle of Palms Connector in October 1993.  Starting at the Isle of Palms and crossing into Mount Pleasant, 10K runners and 5K walkers and runners experience a challenging road race across the IOP Connector and are rewarded with beautiful vistas afforded from the Atlantic Ocean, the Intracoastal Waterway and local creeks and marshes.  Quickly becoming one of the most popular and fastest-growing races in South Carolina, last year's race hosted over 1,400 runners and walkers. It's a great way to kick off the fall road race season!

The race begins at the foot of the Isle of Palms Connector at Palm Blvd. and continues across the connector into Mount Pleasant. 5K runners and walkers will loop on the connector to return back to the Isle of Palms. 10K runners will continue across the connector, turning around just before Rifle Rage Rd., then return back across the connector. The finish line will be at J.C. Long Blvd. on the Isle of Palms, where participants will be able to enjoy a post-race festival featuring family-friendly fun.
